Mike Halsey is based in Sheffield, England. He founded inspirare in 2000. An image consultant with expertise in the fields of design and corporate branding, Mike brings a creative approach to projects of any size.
The son of a financial head at a multinational construction firm and a model, Mike's fascination with architecture and design began at an early age. After focusing on these disciplines throughout his education, Mike carried out voluntary work in various arenas - such as helping with the promotion of a small, Sussex-based charity - to expand his skills.
Mike turned to image consultancy in 1999, and soon built a reputation for eye-catching, minimalist design and team building skills. During late 2001, he was invited by a group of Brighton’s new media freelancers, and the chief executive of the local Enterprise Agency to oversee the formation of the Association of New Media Freelancers (ANMF).
The development of the ANMF afforded Mike the opportunity to forge links with a cross-section of highly-skilled individuals and organisations in the academic, private and public sectors. His strong network of personal contacts, with whom he collaborates frequently on projects, puts some of the UK’s most talented professionals within easy reach of inspirare clients.
In 2003 Mike Halsey began sessional lecturing on the BA (Hons) Content Creation for Broadcast and New Media degree course, at the respected Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in London. Mike has since been a guest speaker at Sheffield Hallam University.
Mike has undertaken projects for clients including Miss Selfridge, Portsmouth Leisure, and Bass Leisure Retail. His client base stretches across the UK, mainland Europe (including the Netherlands and Czech Republic) and China.
Most recently Mike has been providing corporate IT and Server support for blue-chip clients including Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Tesco.
Mike is currently working as a teacher for a national training charity Rathbone Training, teaching English, Mathematics and I.T..
